Cookie Policy
Last updated: 14 August 2026
This page explains which cookies VA International uses on this website, and why. In short: we use essential cookies for login and bot protection, and we set one analytics cookie, vai_analytics_id, only after you click Accept on the cookie bar. If you decline or do not choose, no analytics cookie is set and no browser analytics event is sent. See our Privacy Policy for how that analytics data is used; it does not build an advertising profile.
1. What cookies we use
We use a small number of cookies, all essential for the site to work securely:
- Authentication and session cookies. These keep you logged in to your account and remember your session while you use the site, checkout, and account area.
- Cloudflare Turnstile cookies. We use these on our forms to confirm you are a real visitor and not an automated bot, without showing you an intrusive puzzle.
We also use browser storage, which is not a cookie. It keeps the chat you started with our assistant, so the conversation is still there if you reload the page or come back to it. It is strictly necessary for that chat to work. The conversation itself is sent to us each time you send a message, so the assistant can answer in context, and again if you ask to speak to a human. The copy in your browser stays in the tab you used and is deleted 30 minutes after your last message. We also delete it as soon as you sign in, sign out, or hand the conversation over to a human.
2. What we do not use
We do not set advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. We set one first-party analytics cookie (vai_analytics_id, kept for 1 year) only after you click Accept on the cookie bar, so we can see which packages people look at (see "More information" below). If you decline or do not choose, no analytics cookie is set and no browser analytics event is sent. We do not build advertising profiles from your visit, and we do not sell or share cookie data with advertisers.
3. Your choices
The sign-in and bot-protection cookies are strictly necessary. E-privacy rules let these load without asking first, so they load regardless of the choice you make below.
The cookie bar lets you accept or decline the analytics cookie. Accept turns it on; decline or closing the bar without choosing keeps it off. Declining never blocks the site. Everything works the same either way.
You can change your choice at any time by clearing this site's data in your browser settings; the cookie bar will then show again so you can choose again.
4. How to clear or block cookies
You can clear or block cookies at any time from your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from staying logged in or submitting protected forms. General instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
5. More information
For how we use the account, contact, payment, learning, and analytics data collected through the site (including our use of PostHog), see our Privacy Policy. Cloudflare Turnstile is a third-party service; you can read Cloudflare's own terms of service and privacy policy for how it handles data during bot checks.
